Production Manager

Job Summary: The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process to ensure that production lines run efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role involves planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes and ensuring that products are produced on time and meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and organize production schedules.
  • Assess project and resource requirements.
  • Estimate, negotiate, and agree on budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are met.
  • Determine quality control standards and oversee production processes.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of workers.
  • Monitor production performance and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure regular maintenance schedules.
  • Liaise with different departments (procurement, quality, logistics) to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Implement cost control and efficiency improvements.

Certifications like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or PMP are advantageous. Work Environment: Typically based in a manufacturing plant or factory setting.
